SolidWorks 3D CAD software allows your team to design better products that can set you
apart from your competitors. Each release delivers innovations and customer-requested
enhancements that enable you to work smarter and faster.
SolidWorks® 2011 includes many enhancements and improvements. This release focuses on
the following themes:
- Design faster and more efficiently
- Improved collaboration and visualization
- Enhanced support for manufacturing

Note: SolidWorks is not supported on Apple Mac based machines however;
SolidWorks eDrawings is supported on the Mac operating system. You can open DXF/DWG, SolidWorks, and eDrawings files.
Eligibility
- All University of Arizona students, faculty, and staff with an active UA NetID.
Computer and Software Requirements:
You must either be on campus (wireless laptop, etc.) or
connected via the campus VPN to connect to the license server.
SolidWorks can be used on a University-owned or personal computer.
Before installing, make sure you have at least 30 GB free on your C:\ drive. The install will take about 10 minutes. Do not close any of the windows that open. After the installer finishes, reboot your machine. You can then remove the exe file and the extracted files.
Software Acquisition
- SolidWorks can be downloaded from Sitelicense by clicking
the button below. Disk images and/or CD packages are not available.
